Counseling-Related Mortgagee Letters
Important mortgage letters on HECM counseling were issued by HUD on June 23, 2004 (ML 2004-25), December 30, 2004 (ML 2004-48), November 1, 2005 (ML 2005-44), and September 28, 2006 (ML 2006-25).  All counselors should obtain and read these letters carefully to understand the role of the counselor and HUD requirements for counseling.
